Calibration in GPC/SEC – More than narrow standard calibration.
GPC/SEC has become the main techniques for determination of molar masses of polymers and macromolecules. The calibration in GPC/SEC is usually performed using narrowly distributed standards, which are only available for a limited number of polymer types. However, if the chemical structure of the standards differs from the structure of the sample to be analyzed, only relative molar masses are obtained. The lecture will provide an overview of alternative calibration approaches.
